Renaissance painting and the modern French school

After a period of refurbishment and restoration, the Renaissance-style Hôtel d'Assézat (mansion) houses the Bemberg Foundation. Georges Bemberg, an art-lover and man of letters who was a pianist, bibliophile and collector, wished to share with the general public his love for the works, which he had acquired over the course of his life.

The foundation also has a group of 36 canvasses by Bonnard, Renaissance bronzes and Venetian sculptures. This collection is a worthy testimony to a man's taste, sensibility and passion in matters of art.
