The displays of this museum devoted to the world of the travelling journeyman are open to the public every Wednesday afternoon and first Sunday of the month. The museum offers an insight into the world of the journeymen, whose training was based on three pillars: the learning of a trade or craft, travelling, and the handing down of knowledge and skills. During their many travels the journeymen acquired the techniques and skills appropriate to their trade. The production of a masterpiece was the culmination of the training chosen by the journeyman during his tour of France.

The exhibition takes you along on this tour of initiation and shares with you the precision workmanship and skills of the journeymen. The museum is also a fine example of the architectural style of the Middle Ages, being housed in a half-timbered building with brick and cob walls and heavy visible timber framing.
